About Jasper

Jasper Goldney, a young man with curly blond hair, wearing a dark green jacket, smiling at the camera in an indoor setting.

Currently working out of a studio at JamFactory in Adelaide/Tarntanya, I have had the blessing of learning from a string of great mentors and amazing craftspeople.

The deep love I have gained for metalworking has me constantly experimenting with new techniques, and studying old ones alike. Picking up every possible trick of the trade I can to bring my imagination to life.

Natural history and wildlife have fascinated me ever since I can remember. Growing up surrounded by Australian native plants and animals, I have a deep appreciation for their uniqueness and often bizarre shapes and forms.

Its this combination of technique-driven jewellery with a reverence for nature that is the essence of what I do.

Its a constant problem-solving quest of trying to work out how to translate the stunning organic forms and patterns of nature into such solid and sometimes unforgiving materials. Every project informs the next, and I am excited to continue to develop my skills and see where it takes me.
